PETER D. CAFANO

CAFANO, Peter D. Devoted husband, father, and grandfather; former US Marine; retired mechanical engineer of South Yarmouth passed away peacefully on March 30, 2015 at Emeritus/Brookdale in Plymouth Beach after an illness. His courage in his final days was a source of strength and comfort to those who loved him. Peter's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Emeritus/Brookdale for all the wonderful care that they provided to him. Peter was the beloved husband of his late wife Evelyn (Albion). He is survived, loved, and greatly missed by his son Peter Jr., daughter-in-law Julia, and his grandsons Thomas and Jason. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Vaccaro and her husband Frank Vaccaro, his nieces Noreen Murphy and Deborah D'Alessandro, his nephew John Vaccaro, and their respective spouses. Peter was predeceased by his mother Mary (Pantuosco) of East Boston, his father Daniel of both Italy and East Boston, and his siblings Ann, Cosmo, and William, all of East Boston. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, April 10th at the Morris, O'Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Drive, YARMOUTH, Massachusetts. Interment will be at 2:15 pm on Friday, April 10th at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter's name to the American Heart Association or the charity of one's choice.
