My condolences to the Chrisom Family - Mr. Chrisom's legacy is in each of you as well as an unknown number of his students and fellow educators during his career. He was my Modern European History teacher at QHS in the early 60's and I cannot remember alot of the the details of MEH he taught that year but I have always remembered and tried to live by his lessons on life he passed along to us. He took the time to tell me to be true to myself and make sure I did not limit myself but to live up to my true potential not what I thought others thought it was. I cannot tell you how often I remembered the look in his eyes and the smile on his face as he was telling me this . . . who I am today is in part due to the message he planted in my head - I let myself dream and stretch because of his belief in me. I do not think I was the only student he took this approach with in his career . . . oh how many lives he impacted!! All of you and all of us are his legacy!! Thank you for sharing your Dad and Grandfather with us!! Take Care - Christina (Wingo) Larsen, QHS Class of 1964

Cousin Peter's mother, Auntie Mary, and my mother, Margaret, were always very close sisters. Thus, Peter and I shared a lot of wonderful family gatherings at Hancock Street, WIndermere Circle and Cape Cod. Peter was always my idol. What a wonderful life he went on to lead in his career and as head of his own family.
My sincerest sympathy to all his family.

My late father, John J. Chrisom, had mentioned he had at least one relative who was very involved in the North Quincy schools.
After reading this obituary, I truly wish I would have had the opportunity to meet Peter. At my next Irish music session, I will raise a glass and dedicate a tune to his life and memory.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Chrisom family. I am a 1978 graduate of NQHS and remember Mr. Chrisom with great fondness. He was a fair and evenhanded person…the perfect principal. I was serendipitously present at the Mass where your parents were honored for their 50th wedding anniversary at St. Pius X in So. Yarmouth. After Mass, I approached your entire family all gathered at the back of the church and introduced myself to Mr. Chrisom and all of you. He remembered me after all of those years. Tremendous feat considering I was one of many in a bustling city high school with over 2,000 students a long time ago. Even more remarkable, was that he remembered my mother by name. An amazing man; who left and indelible mark on the hearts and minds of many students at North Quincy High School. Rest in peace Mr. Chrisom, you were a good man.
