Peter Goolkasian Obituary

Age 94, of Belmont, survivor of the Armenian Genocide December 21, 2004. Beloved husband of Isabelle (Yeshilian) Goolkasian, Devoted father of Dianne Goolkasian Rahbee and her husband Alfred of Belmont and Priscilla DerAnanian and her husband Paul G. of Acton. Loving grandfather of Paul Peter DerAnanian and his wife Jennifer, David Rahbee, Gregory DerAnanian and Adam Rahbee. Also survived by a great-grand daughter Ashley DerAnanian. Brother of the late Aram Richard Goolkasian and Anahid DerMarderosian. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Services at Holy Trinity Armenian Church, 145 Brattle St., Cambridge on Friday, December 24 at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours in the Mt. Auburn Memorial Chapel of the Giragosian Funeral Home, 576 Mt Auburn St., (Rt 16), WATERTOWN on Thursday 4-7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to Holy Trinity Armenian Church. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Acton. Member of Knights of Vartan, Ararat Lodge. Knights of Vartan service at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evening.

Peter was one of the most incredible people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was innovative and open minded and always embracing change. His enthusiasm was contagious. We will miss him dearly, but he has left a wonderful legacy to his family, friends and loved ones.
