My dear friend Peter. It is July 1, 2017. I can tell you my brother,you are still with me. I'll always remember our friendship as nothing less than glorious. You were always the guy who made us laugh. You were always the friend who cared, you were always our friend. I'll never forget the thanksgiving day football game as you came running off the field. We won! As the years past buddy, I too became a police officer. Imagine that. But my dear buddy,know this. "I love you". I now know I have someone looking down upon me. Peter:
It just seems like yesterday that we were travelling to Salem State and working the dog track. You always were a great friend and a blast to knock back a few whether at Reardon's or the E-club. I was always sure our nomadic paths would cross someday. Keep on travelling brother.

I knew him from Cape Cod and he visited all us in Dublin over 21 years ago-- he might have mentioned his great trip to Galway -- everyone loved him there
I will always regret never visiting and only googling him after so many years!

Dear Hanlon family,
I just learned of Peter's passing. I knew Peter only for a short time, but I can say confidently-- he was a friend. It was always a pleasure to speak with him, and I never passed up a chance to do so. He was a gentle soul. I once watched him give away a painting he did to a foreign tourist, asking nothing in return. He was a funny, eloquent guy, and I will miss our interactions. May Peter find peace, and may you find comfort in his passing. There's a lof of people out there who will never forget him.

To the Hanlon Family with Love,
Peter welcomed our entire Family when Dan married Liss. Whenever Peter was with us, we always enjoyed his company. He would have us laughing in minutes. He took the time to really know about each one of us and he listened. Peter loves our daughter Melissa and always made her feel that love and caring. He had a soft side to himself and expressed that in writing his poetry and his amazing paintings. Peter's Spirit was a gentle Spirit.
To each of you we send our love and appreciation that Peter came into our lives, we are very grateful for that. We pray that God will send a reminder to each of you that Peter left you with Gifts and that He wraps you in His warmth and softens your Heartache. We love each of you.

Dear Hanlon Family,
I was devastated when I heard the news of Peter’s passing. He was really an incredible person and friend. Although it has been many years since Peter and I have seen each other, I did recently have the opportunity to speak with him over the phone. It was so great to talk with him and reminisce about old times. It just continues to remind me of how special Peter was to all the people that had the great fortune of crossing paths with him. I cannot express in words how greatly Peter will be missed in this world. He truly brought joy and happiness to everyone he met. I feel a great amount of sadness in my heart, but also feel blessed to have known such a wonderful and kind friend. He will be forever missed but never forgotten. Dear Mr. & Mrs. Hanlon & Family:
Your son, brother and uncle was truly a warm, kind hearted, giving, patient and admirable person. My family and I met Peter in Cambridge. Peter held a special place in my father's heart. On the occassion we would meet Peter, he always took the time to sit, listen and truly talk with our father, our Dad is 83 years young. Peter had a way about him and would always have great welcome for our father and make him feel so special. We are truly saddened by his death and sorry we didn't get to meet you all. I can still remember one of Peter's birthdays, you all went out to the theatre district for dinner...he was so happy, so proud!
We are grateful to have met him and he will always be in our thoughts and prayers as are you all.
Our deepest sympathy to each of you during this heartbreaking time. May an army of angels bring you through this difficult time. God Bless You All!

Dear Hanlon Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your son and brother. I went to jr high and high school with Peter.
I was just talking about him with Revere friends a month ago. Thinking of him made us all smile. I will always remember how funny and smart he was. Peter was kind to everyone too. I always enjoyed being around him, in class, on the ball field and around town. He was a terrific person and I will miss him.

My thoughts of comfort and condolence go out to Pete's family at this time of sorrow. Pete was a rare soul, with a rare gift to create beauty in a world littered with ugliness. I still remember pieces of artwork he showed me ten years ago.

My dear friend Peter,
I have just heard of your passing a few minutes ago and became overwhelmed with sadness. Even though we had drifted apart since our high school days, we had always stayed close in spirit. Heck...I hadn't seen you close to twenty years, but when we bumped into each other a few years ago at a Red Sox game, it was like we just picked up where we left off. You will be truly missed.
