QUINTON CARLSON Obituary

Carlson, Quinton L
December 8, 1920-June 23, 2013. He died peacefully in Portland, OR. Son of John and Helga Carlson of No. Easton, MA. Graduated Northeastern University 1943. Graduated US Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, and served in the South Pacific 4/1943-2/1946 (WWII) and 10/1951-1/1953 (Korea). He retired as Lt. Commander. After military service, he became Construction Project Manager of "new" Boston Globe Building (1958). Relocated to Montreal with developer William Zeckendorf, Sr. and architect I M Pei to build Place Ville Marie, then the largest building in Canada. Later formed Concordia Project Mgmt. Ltd, Montreal. Quinton is survived by his wife of 68 years, June; their 3 children, Michael, Tondra (Lynford), and Franche (Straus); 7 granchildren, Kirsten, Quinton II, Dylan, Brooke, Sebastian, Victoria, and Drew; and grandaughter-in-law, Jane and grandson-in-law, Jay. His life and memory will be cherished.
