Rae Foley Obituary

FOLEY, Rae H. 57, of Stoneham, died peacefully on Monday, September 21 after a brief illness of Pulmonary Fibrosis. Rae was born in Chelsea to parents Martha and Alfred Levy. She was a graduate of Everett High School's class of 1970. Rae went on to pursue a nursing career and worked as a Registered Nurse for many years at the Whidden Hospital in Everett and at the Malden Hospital. She later worked as a case manager for Blue Cross and Blue Shield and was working in a similar role at the Whidden Hospital at the time of her death. Rae loved taking long drives with her husband, Edward "Buster" Foley, and their dog, Max. She looked forward to summers at LSVR, lazing in the sun and playing cards with her closest friends. Rae loved the Cape, where she spent time with her sister, Kathy, niece Lindsey and nephew, Michael. She enjoyed traveling to visit her daughter, Stacey, son-in-law Ron and her two grandchildren, Jordan (8) and Ally (8 months) in Nashville, Tennessee. Most recently, Rae, found pleasure in helping her daughter, Shannon, and son-in-law, Chris, plan and prepare for their summer wedding. A celebration of Rae's life is planned for October 3 at 1pm at her home at 16 Kenneth Terrace, Stoneham, MA. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 1332 N. Halstead St., Suite 201, Chicago, IL 60642-2642. To Mr. Foley and the children.
Please accept my sympathy on the loss of your dear Rae.
I worked with Rae at the hospital and was always impressed with her and the way she managed some very difficult problems.
Her colleagues at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home are quite shocked to learn of her passing.
In time try to remember the wonderful experience which was her life with you.

Dear Ed and girls, I was shocked and saddened to learn that Rae had died. I only was fortunate enough to share some of her early years as a young wife and mom but I have some wonderful memories of that time so long ago. I hope you all hold a part of her spirit and joy for life. Debbie Cangiano Pittman
