CAMPBELL, Richard A. Richard "Dick" A. Campbell, 70, of Thornton, NH, formerly of Reading, MA. Loving husband, devoted father and caring friend passed away suddenly on December 9, 2020. Dick was an avid golfer and shared his love of the sport with family and friends. Dick was known as a kind and caring friend and the "rock" of his extended family. He always had an acute sense of responsibility and stepped up for family and friends, acting as a father figure to many of his younger relatives. He inherited a strong work ethic from his father, John Campbell, and was a software consultant for his last 20 years at RR Donnelley. Dick is survived by his lifelong best friend, wife of 51 years and partner in crime, Linda Mafera Campbell, son Patrick Campbell and daughter-in-law Melissa Campbell, daughter Erin Ryan and son-in-law Daniel Ryan, son Matthew Campbell, and grandchildren Timothy, Christopher, Aidan, Jason and Ainsley. He is also survived by his sisters Lauren Payne and Dale McCarthy and sister-in-law Katherine O'Connor along with many nieces and nephews. There will be a private service for immediate family. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
