RICHARD CROSBY Obituary

CROSBY, Richard G In loving memory of Richard Crosby, born on December 2, 1932, in Newton, MA. A distinguished individual, Richard graduated from Norwood High School in the class of 1952. Serving his country with honor, he joined the USAF in October 1952 and served until August 1956. Stationed in England, he imparted his expertise as a drafting instructor and machinist, notably at Pratt & Whitney, where he instructed on fighter jet aircraft modifications. A proud alumnus of Northeastern University, Richard earned his degree in engineering going nights and contributed significantly to Hasbro Toy Company as a project engineer. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish various ventures, including owner of Tech Machine and Engineering Company, Metal Dynamics Inc. and Northeast Investment Castings. Richard's manufacturing prowess extended to parts for commercial aircraft, military hardware and space programs. Transitioning into semi-retirement, Richard continued his passion as an engineering consultant. Beyond his professional achievements, he found joy in photographing wild birds, exploring national parks, golfing, summering in ME on Moosehead Lake and wintering in Nevis. Richard passed away January 13, peacefully at home, surrounded by family. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, who was a constant source of support and companionship. He is also survived by two sons, a daughter, four grandsons, two brothers, a sister and many nieces and nephews, which formed a close-knit family that offered love and encouragement. Richard Crosby's life was a testament to dedication, innovation and an adventurous spirit. May his legacy endure and may he rest in eternal peace.
