Richard Daley Obituary

DALEY, Lt. Col. Richard William U.S. Army, Ret., 70, eldest son of Richard and Margaret Daley, of Somerville, Massachusetts, died on March 11, 2009, in Ashburn, Virginia. He worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and completed a 1-year tour in Viet Nam during the Tet Offensive, as well as serving in Greece, Korea, Saudi Arabia and the Pentagon. Lt. Col. Daley is survived by his companion Agnes, his 3 daughters, Pamela, Christine and Bethany, his brother William and sister-in-law Patricia, 3 grandsons, Nicholas, Michael, and Jackson, his daughter-in-law Michelle, 2 sons-in-law, William and Brian, his former wife, Mary, and nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE, Leesburg, VA on Sunday, March 15, 2009 from 3-5 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Monday, March 16 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 20648 Bellwood Court, Potomac Falls, Virginia. Interment with full military honors will be held in Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to: Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund 1023 15th Street NW, Second Floor, Washington, DC 20005.On line condolences may be sent to thefamilyat LoudounFuneralChapel.com
