Rick was my colleague and next door neighbor in the Mathematics Department at Boston College. His enthusiasm for mathematics was infectious. Despite his fragile health, he was unfailingly upbeat and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Dear Faber Family,
I am a long time friend of his nephew, Jeff Devore. "Uncle Rick" was one of the funniest people I knew. He always had a joke of the day and he always laughed at his own jokes ... He will be fondly remembered! Please extend my condolences to the Faber Family!
Love,
David Morrison

I'm so sorry to have to miss the service and shiva as I am away on the cape through September.

Sue and Lynn... I am truly so sorry for your loss!
Love, Sammi (Shuman) Robertson & family
