Richard Keating Obituary

42, of Kingston, MA died August 20, 2008, after a heroic battle with cancer. Born August 18, 1966 in Milton, MA he grew up in Westwood, MA and lived most of his life in Massachusetts and Florida. Most recently he live in Kingston, MA where he built a beautiful home for his family. He had a passion for music, humor, Boston sports teams, and anything with a fast engine. He enriched so many lives by sharing these passions with others. He is a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to so many. Surviving are his wife Deborah Keating, and his three children Justin, Alexia, and Briana. Also surviving are his mother Nancy Keating, his sister Kristin Keating Moeller, his brother-in-law Greg Moeller, his uncle Robert Pax, Connie Batalis, Uncle Aris and cousins Paul and Bryon Kalogerou, Stephanie Flanagan and Andrea Mann. His father Richard L. Keating predeceased him. Visiting hours will be held Friday on August 22, 2008, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St (Rte 139) MARSHFIELD. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday August 23, 2008, at 10:00 A.M. at the Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street Duxbury MA 02332. Interment in the Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen St. Kingston, MA. In lieu of flowers contributions in Rick's memory may be made to "VH1 Save The Music Foundation" via www.savethemusic.org or send a check to Denise Dykes, VH1 Save The Music Foundation, 1633 Broadway, 11th. To all of you..
Please give us permission to share your loss of Rick. We are truly sorry.
We remember when Rick and Geoffrey graduated pre-school from the "Little Red School House" in Holbrook. They continued on through Westwood High...a long friendship.
Nancy and Dick were, also,very close friends of our family.
