BRESLIN, Rita Marie (Ryan) Rita Marie Ryan was the only child born to Margaret Francis (Tully) and Thomas Henry Ryan on May 14, 1927. Rita grew up in Somerville, MA, graduated from Somerville High School in 1945 and lived all of her life in Somerville and on Cape Cod in West Yarmouth, MA. With her late husband, James A. Breslin, she had 7 children. Barbara Breslin (Pete Lund), Denver, CO, Kathleen Mc Dermott, Somerville, MA, James Breslin (Catherine Clews Breslin), Hampton, NH, Joan Slade (Richard Slade deceased), Lynnfield, MA, Daniel Breslin, Hull, MA, Rita Ann Breslin, Leucadia, CA and M. Christine Breslin (Glenda Ganem), Newton, MA. Rita is also survived by her 16 grandchildren including Laura Grogan, Kristen Grogan, DJ Breslin, Michael Breslin, Henry Breslin, Brady Cohen, Maggie Hensley, Brian Truby, Thomas Breslin, Aqua Truby, Emma Cohen Nystrom, Peter Breslin, Sam Ganem, Gabriel Ganem, and Annie Rose Gamen and great-grandchildren Jarod Breslin, Patrick Breslin, Lacy Ruggiero, Rowin Truby, Dasha Breslin, Abigaelle Breslin and Payson Cohen with 3 more due to arrive in 2019. Rita passed peacefully on May 14, 2019, her 92nd birthday. The Breslin Family extends heartfelt gratitude to Frank and Gretchen and to the staff at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, MA. No services are planned.
