Dear Nancy, I am so sad not to be there to say good-bye to your father. I did have a few private minutes with him at my fathers wake
which I will treasure. My heart jumped when I saw your parents walk in because I know the great effort they made to make it that night. As I walked him out to the car he fussed a little that his children did not want him to have surgery. He was his sweet, lovable self. I will be thinking of you and your family tonight and tomorrow and the weeks to come. I am there with you in spirit. Love, Wheatsy

Your father first helped me when I was 18 yrs. old and a senior at Catholic Memorial HS. Fortunately, I went the next 25 years without any need for psychiatric help. At 53, while in the Philippines, I had another bout with depression. Open arriving home, I called on your father in Wellesley and was immediately put on the road to recovery. When I think of the ways that God's grace has been made manifest in my life, I think of your father. May the sadness of his passing become joy in the sure knowledge that there 'is indeed a place for him'.
sincerely, Bill Sullivan
