ROBERT BOURQUE Obituary

BOURQUE, Robert Arthur Age 72, of Dedham, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Mary (Leonard) Bourque. Loving father to Justin R. Bourque and his wife, Tonda, Jessica O'Leary and her husband, Thomas and Rebecca Harrington and her husband, Matthew all of Walpole. Grandfather "Bampa" to Justin and Mackenzie Bourque, Shane and Ryan Harrington and Timmy O'Leary. Brother of Jimmy Bourque and his wife, Carol of Maine and Susan Bourque of Dedham. Predeceased by his sisters, Donna Kiser of Dedham and Patricia Tarasiewicz of Wallingford, CT. Born in Brookline on September 30, 1952, to the late Rene A. and Margaret E. (Phelan) Bourque. Robert grew up in Dedham, where he met and married the love of his life, Mary, on April 6, 1974, and the two began their 50-plus year journey together. Robert lived a life full of love, hard work and family. Robert found great joy in traveling around the country with Mary, where he developed a special fondness for Hawaii. But nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his grandchildren. Whether it was supporting them at their athletic events, Sunday family dinners at his home, or bringing them on adventurous trips with Mary. He was adored and created memories and experiences that will last forever. He will be deeply missed, forever loved and always remembered. Visiting Hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, on Monday, November 4, from 4-8 pm. His Funeral will be held from the funeral home, on Tuesday, November 5, at 9 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Dedham at 10 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
