ROBERT CARBONE Jr.

CARBONE, Robert Jr. Robert P. Carbone, Jr. died Thursday evening January 19, 2023, at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. He was born in Boston, MA, on December 13, 1952, to the late Ruth A. (Harrington) and Robert P. Carbone, Sr. He was raised in East Boston and Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School. Following his graduation, Bob worked at The Machine Shop with his father, and the Gas and Auto Repair Shop with his brother, Tony, for many years. He then moved on to become a Commercial Fisherman, captaining and owning the Sinbad, the Jan Ann, and the Mayhem. During that time, he also owned a Canteen Truck Servicing the Newburyport area. He enjoyed Tuna Fishing, watching documentaries, and all the New England Sports teams especially the Patriots. As well as working on any of his vehicles, as he always had a project ongoing. Nothing gave him more pleasure than spending time with his family, especially tending to his Koi Pond with his grandson, William, as well as bringing him mini golfing. Robert is survived by his wife Tammy (Fowler) Carbone of Salisbury; sons, Phillip Carbone and his wife, Nicole of KS, and William Eaton, Jr. and his wife, Candace of Salisbury; grandchildren, Phillip, Jr., Nehven, Olivia, Bella, William, Sonnie, and Niko; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Anthony Carbone. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St., NEWBURYPORT, MA 01950. Services and burial will be private.
