The best football coach in Winthrop , was a mentor to all his kid's . When ever you got out of line the principle would send you to coach for punishment. Thanks for all the hard conversations in my life.

Coach ended up being my mentor in my High School years that gave me the life lessons to give me the drive to succeed The memorable times of getting up at 5am to meet at WHS gym for our floor hockey battles to taking batting practice on Sunday mornings with Coach and Mike and Frankie DeMarco and the hours I got to share with Coach one on one sitting in his office my senior year will always be my treasures of our friendship ::: The Best Leader Ever

I would like to express my condolences for your loss. I can't imagine how it feels to not have him in your lives anymore. I feel a void also. I want to reflect back to when I first met Bob and developed our relationship. It was during the matches between Winthrop and Malden on the basketball court. Everyone involved refers to it as Defa ball. It was a competitive bonding and Bob displayed his true competitiveness. Bob was a competitor! In my life I have interacted with less than a handful of people who I truly would trust. Bob was at the top of the list! When anyone thinks about Bob just imagine the amount of people in the course of his lifetime he has had a positive effect on. He was incredible and Bentley speaks for itself! I will miss him!

Coach DeFelice was one of the most competitive men I knew. He was sincere, honest and tough. He was well respected through out the state and his teams were always ready for battle. He was a great man, father and coach. I for one held him in high esteem for all the years I coached against him. He will now be with all the other great coaches who have passed in our area. That could be the hardest ticket to get a seat for. Rest in peace Coach. You are loved and respected by many.
Respectfully ,
Mike Cella , Revere High Coach
