ROBERT NICOLAUS "BOB" DONADIO

DONADIO, Robert Nicholas "Bob" Passed away due to heart complications on Monday, May 8th 2023. As in life, he was surrounded by his loved ones. Bob was 87 years old, and is survived by wife of 65 years, Felicia (DeSimone) Donadio; his three children, Robert Frank Donadio of Amherst NH, Karen Felicia Donadio of Mount Pleasant, SC and Christine Marie Donadio of Providence, RI. Bob was the cherished grandfather to Cynthia, Joshua, Trisha, Deanna and Carmela; the dear brother of Rose Gabriel, Leonard Donadio, Emily Shannon, the late Francis "Sonny" Donadio and the late Diana DiMatteo; treasured brother-in-law to Diane (DeSimone) Schalke of Wells, ME; and beloved uncle Robert to countless nieces and nephews. Bob graduated with a Master's Degree from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He worked at Raytheon for 18 years as a Principle Scientist until he founded CVD Incorporated, an advanced materials company, in 1980. Bob was in retirement in Boca Grove, Boca Raton, Florida, He was an avid golfer and loved the game of bridge. He was known mostly for his kindness and generosity. To Bob, family was always the first priority, with education a close second. He was an inspiration and a mentor. He had a keen, quiet and spontaneous sense of humor. Bob was a compassionate, loving man - he will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. A Graveside Service will be held in Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Playstead Road, Medford, MA. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are welcomed. Please meet inside the main gate.
