Robert ENGEL

ENGEL, Robert "Rob" A resident of Woburn, formerly of Winchester, passed away on October 22, 2024. He was 59 years old. Born in Brookline, MA, Rob was the son of the late Frank and Elaine Engel. Rob graduated Winchester High School in 1983. He went on to graduate from Boston College and was beyond proud to be an Eagle. Rob worked alongside his dad at the family business, Air Purchases Inc., headquartered in Burlington, with five locations throughout New England. Rob was the Owner/CEO of the company until his untimely passing. He was a mentor to all of his employees. Air Purchases was like family to him.

Rob was a dedicated and loving life partner to the love of his life, MaryEllen DeRoche. He was also a loyal friend to so many. He leaves behind numerous cousins as well. Rob joined the Ancients and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts. He was a loyal and dedicated life member who loved the

comradery of the Ancients. He was fortunate enough to travel the world with this organization. Poland, Russia, Italy, Germany, and Spain were all among his

favorites. Rob loved his summers, especially in Humarock, where it gave him a chance to go boating. That love led Rob to obtain his Masters Captain's license. He enjoyed boating up and down the East Coast and to the Caribbean. He was also a certified scuba diver, a Deputy Sheriff of Middlesex County and an avid skier. Rob especially enjoyed the many years he spent skiing with the Mahoney family at Loon Mountain.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the family on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 4-8 p.m., at the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main St. (Rte. 38), WINCHESTER. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Rob's Eternal Life will be held in St. Eulalia's Parish, 50 Ridge St., Winchester, MA, on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Wildwood Cemetery in Winchester.
