ROBERT M. FREEMAN

FREEMAN, Robert M. 78, husband of the late Carol Freeman, died peacefully at home on February 13, 2017. He leaves behind his daughter, Susan Freeman and her husband Marcelo Araya of Westford, son Michael Freeman and his wife Traci, his grandchildren Kathryn and Christopher all of Union, Kentucky. Robert is also survived by his brother Thomas H. Freeman and his wife Claire of Wrentham and their children, Thom H. Freeman Jr., Laura C. Freeman and Matthew M. Freeman, and their families. Robert graduated from Arlington High School, class of 1955. Robert and his beloved Carol moved to Westford in 1961 where they lived until the time of their deaths. When asked, Robert said he had lived a happy and satisfying life, one of his only regrets in his life is that he didn't play more golf with Andy. Robert enjoyed a fulfilling career in cryogenic engineering, his last position being with Balzers-Pfeiffer N.A, Hudson, NH. He retired in 1996 and along with Carol spent nearly twenty years of happy retirement, traveling, gardening and enjoying their time together at home until her death in 2014. Robert will be sorely missed by his family and friends, especially the old Snow Drive gang. Susan and Michael wish to thank the dear neighbors on Butternut Road who showed so much love and care especially during these last two hard years.
