This was the Greatest man I have ever met.
So intelligent yet very welcoming and friendly.
I will never forget my experience with him.
He was one of a kind.
May His Soul Rest in Peace.

Every time I go to an opera I think of Bob and imagine him sitting next to me and Barbara. I remember him loving Wagner and certain experiences we've shared.
His humor, sensitivity and intellect are always things I remember about him.
Spending time with Barbara helps and his presence is always felt.

Professor Glauber was my teacher at Harvard for 2 courses. Many years later I was fortunate to reconnect with him in a professional capacity as well. He was a Consummate gentleman, fantastic teacher and inclusive professional. I am grateful to have met him. My condolences to the family. Raghu

Prof. Glauber was an exceptional professor, as well as a mentor and first class gentleman! I was the Course Assistant in 2011 for his HKS class and enjoyed keeping in touch when he would venture down to DC in the years since. My condolences to his family.

I'm writing to show my heartfelt sympathies on the loss of Professor Bob Glauber. Really sorry to hear the sad news.
I was in Bob's class BGP-264 at Harvard, co-taught with Professor Hal Scott, all semester only not long before, and learned a lot from him. To me, Bob was not only a most accomplished economist, but a real gentleman and mentor.
I will miss him deeply. Bob will remain with us in the stories we tell and the memories we share. Let's preserve these precious memories forever. May Bob RIP.
With deepest sympathies,

To the family, my deepest sympathies. A tremendous loss.
I had the good fortune of having Professor Glauber for corporate finance at HBS in 1985, and was later blessed to be able to call him a friend. Even amongst the top professors at HBS, Bob was a giant. Perhaps the greatest professor to use the case-method to it's maximum potential. Besides having absolute command of the subject, he demanded much of his students. He pushed us all but we all knew we were experiencing something special. Not uncommon to leave the class sweaty but uplifted. You knew that after each class you were smarter then when you entered. While it is not uncommon for professors to retreat to their offices after class, Bob however would make time to talk with anyone who made the effort. I think I learned as much at lunch with him as I did in class. Of all teachers I've ever had, including through a law degree, Bob was my favorite. Over the years we kept in touch and of course his career was brilliant. Will never forget his powerful mind, his mastery of teaching, and the kindness he extended to so many students over a lifetime of teaching at Harvard. Bob will be greatly missed.

Hi Barbara:
As I sit in the apartment that you and Bob once occupied on Brimmer St., I am having fond memories of our times as neighbors. I think Bob would have gotten a kick out of the fact that I'm using the same refrigerator that you had and it's still running beautifully! One of our favorite laughable moments was when Bob was downstairs indulging in a piece of chocolate cake (which was not allowed on his diet). You knocked on the door and he threw the cake, plate and all, under our sofa. Not sure he ever confessed, but now you know. :) Sounds like you are surrounded by your loving children and their families. Stay well.
With very fond memories.

Bob and I were colleagues and friends at the US Treasury from 1989-1992.. As Director of the Office of Thrift Supervision, Bob was one of my direct Treasury counterparts. He was always thoughtful, professional and impactful. When we both left the Bush l administration, our friendship continued. He will be missed. Tim Ryan

Bob Glauber was a mentor at HBS, who invited me to teach in the most senior executive education program during his tenure as Chairman. It was a very important developmental opportunity for me that causes me to forever be grateful. Clemmie and I send our condolences to Barbara and the family.

Bob was friendly and I spoke with him on occasion.
He championed regulation and endorsed my efforts on at least a couple of occasions.
I personally remember his kindness and compassion about 2 months after 9/11.
He came to the Long Island Office, and spoke with the staff.
You were the salt of the earth, Bob.
May you rest in peace, and may your name be for a blessing. Amen.
