This is me and Mr Gleason at Camp Grotonwood in 5th- one of the best people I have met. He went on to be my basketball coach at BHS for 3 years. We had so much! He will be missed for sure!
Sending my love to his family.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Mr. Gleason. He was my basketball coach at Belmont High for three years. Many of my fondest high school memories have him in them. As a teacher, he taught his players to always give your best effort. Off the court, he coached and mentored his players to become productive citizensI Thank you, Coach, for being an exceptional mentor. My sincerest condolences to his family.

I am so saddened by Bob's death, and all that he had to deal with for the past several years of illness. Having worked with him in Belmont from 1989 to 2001, I hold clear and dear memories of Bob's strong connections with his students (as well as many others at Winn Brook School via his bus arrival duties, that enabled students to start their day with warm and caring welcomes). Such an upbeat human being, creative and caring educator, leader among colleagues, and more. I recall the year that he and I (and another staff member) all had children who were seniors in high school. Each week the 3 of us would buy a scratch lottery ticket - with the understanding that we'd split the winnings 3 ways - to support college tuition. I think we might have even won $5 or $10 one week! I recall his proud sharing about Peter and Mara. My thoughts are with you, Marsha, and Peter and Mara and their children as you adjust to life without Bob's physical presence and good humor.
