Robert Hannaford Obituary

HANNAFORD, Robert W. Of Quincy, passed away on October 21, 2010 at the age of 64. Son of the late William and Dorothy Hannaford. Beloved husband of Deanna (Doucette) Hannaford. Loving father of Ken Hannaford and his wife Nichol of Bradford and Robert Hannaford and his wife Nora of Holbrook. Devoted "Grampa" to Hailey and James. Brother of Mary Silva of Arlington, Patricia Boynton of Foxboro, Diane Hannaford of Anaheim, CA, and Paul Hannaford of Hudson, NH. Also surivived by several nieces and nephews. Bob attended Wentworth Institute of Technology and Northeastern University. Until recently, Bob worked as a Quality Manager for the Plymouth Rubber Company. He enjoyed fishing and golfing. A dedicated father, Bob volunteered for many years as a coach for his son's teams. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, North Quincy at 11 AM. Cremation will follow. Bob and I worked together at Plymouth Rubber, he in QA and me in sales. We traveled and saw a lot together over the years, especially in Mexico.

Memories never to be forgotten...Bob was always fun to be with and chat with, but he had a respected serious side as well.

Dear Deanna, Bobby, Kenny and families, We are shocked and saddened with the news of Bob's passing. We have shared many happy and sad events since 1975. We still call you boy's by your childhood names, much to your corecting us time & time again. Even @ your weddings our children had to correct me. Bob & Deanna are loving Godparents to our daughter.
