ROBERT MURRAY Obituary

MURRAY, Robert T. Age 99, a longtime Needham resident, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Born in Newburyport, he was the son of the late Michael T. and Eleanor (Corey) Murray. Bob graduated with the Class of 1944 from Belmont High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force during his senior year of high school and served in World War II. He was discharged as a sergeant. Following the war, he attended the University of Hartford, graduating with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Bob worked at several manufacturers in all manufacturing phases and held several patents. His work in product design gave him the most satisfaction. Bob enjoyed maintaining all aspects, both inside and out of his home. He also enjoyed jogging, tennis and auto maintenance. A graveside service will be held at St. Mary Cemetery, 36 Storey Ave., Newburyport on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 11 am. Services will conclude with military honors.
