ROBERT PYE Obituary

PYE, Robert C. Robert "Bob" Pye, age 75, of Marblehead, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, on June 21, 2023. He was the adoring husband of Darlene (Dunn) Pye, with whom he shared 33 wonderful years of marriage and countless laughs. Born in Boston, MA, Bob was the son of William and June Pye. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran, serving a tour in Thailand before attending the Vesper George School of Art. During his ensuing career as an award-winning creative director for several Boston advertising agencies, he serendipitously met the love of his life, Darlene, who passed away in 2011. Bob was a dedicated husband and father, avid golfer, witty cartoonist, and the kindest, gentlest, friendliest man to everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. Bob's memory will forever be cherished by his daughters, Molly (Brendan Ryan) Pye of Swampscott and Allyson (George) Gartley of Marshfield; his grandchildren, brother, nieces, nephews, countless friends, and chosen family. Visiting Hours: Bob's Memorial Service will be held at the First Church in Swampscott, Congregational, 40 Monument Ave. on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 10 am. Friends and family kindly invited. Donations in Bob's memory may be sent to the Darlene Pye Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Santander Bank, 495 Paradise Rd., Swampscott, MA 01907.
