I am sorry to be adding this comment so late, but I just recently found out about Skip's passing. I have gone to him with some regularity for many years to get my hair cut. He was always a gentlemen, funny, welcoming and great to spend time with. I work at the Harpoon Brewery and several of us ending up "going to see Skip" over the years. We miss him and wish his family well. Cheers, Dan Kenary

We were saddened to hear of Skip's passing.
Always tried to say stop by and say hi on my way to open our shop. Enjoyed all the pictures on the wall and the stories he would tell me. Another one of few old school Southie stores, not many of us left Skip. Rest in Peace

To the Scaro family, my name is Joe Reardon and I live on Dorchester Street. I have been going to the shop for years and I just found out today that my friend Skip passed away. I am very sorry for your loss. We hit it off when we first met talking about baseball and life. I lost my Dad earlier this year and Skip was there for me even though he was not feeling well. He often talked about my Dad's baseball career and now he and Skip can talk all the baseball they want. They are both playing for the Angels. RIP Skip.

Sorry for you loss. Skip was a valued member of his beloved Southie and very proud of his family. A trip to the shop was a trip back to the old days with stories to match.

John, Jimmy and I just found out about your brother. So sorry for your loss. I'm going to always remember those goofy you tube videos you posted. I didn't know him, but he seemed like a great guy.

Bobby, it hurts. Miss you sooo much my friend. Those running left handed hooks on Saturday evenings were a killer. I had to face guard you in order to stop them. Then an argument would erupt, foul or no foul?? Sunday morning all was forgotten and it was off to the Little House to face off with "Downtown Dom" an the rest of the guys. Great memories Skipper... All those NE Patriots' games when we were 2 of about only 25,000 in the stands. The Red Snapper for Dinner and chat with the players that came by after the game.
So many great memories. Wish I had the time to write them all down here.
Too many Good Times. The bad times were few if any at all.
You left us too early. God called and you answered.
I love you man....
