Robert A. Shaw

SHAW, Robert A. 81, formerly of Waltham, MA, died Sunday, August 14, 2011 at York Hospital surrounded by his family. Born February 24, 1930 in Brewer, Maine, he was the son of the late Carlton B. and Margaret E. (Millett) Shaw. He was the Executive Director of Sales for the Catholic Association of Foresters for many years. Bob was a hard-working man of integrity with a great sense of humor. He loved politics, Puccini, his dogs, wine and a good cigar. But above all else, he loved his family and cherished time with them. He leaves the love of his life, his wife of 54 years, Charlotte A. (Dainis) Shaw; daughter Carolyn M. Shaw and her husband Steven Shaw; two sons Robert A. Shaw Jr. and his wife Shelly Dean-Shaw; and Gregory F. Shaw and his wife Susannah Fine; two brothers Michael Shaw and John F. Shaw; three sisters Margaret Stevens, Isabelle Wilson, and Paula Radka; brother-in-law Richard Dainis; 5 grandchildren Jonathan, Olivia, Emma, Talia and Sophie Shaw. A brother Carlton G. Shaw predeceased him. A Memorial Mass for Robert will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 27 in St. Katharine Drexel Chapel, 419 Mountain Road, Harpswell, Maine. There are no calling hours.
