Rodney SPARROW Obituary
Rodney grew up in Lexington, MA, and graduated from the University of Maine where he studied business and played football. He met his wife as a teenager in Chatham, MA, where they continued to enjoy many summers and special times with family. Beyond his wife and daughters, Rod was most proud of Leaktite Corporation, the successful family business he owned and operated for 40 years, best known for manufacturing Home Depot's orange buckets. He founded the Acton-Boxborough Pop Warner Football program, served as a Corporator for Emerson Hospital in Concord, and was a dedicated supporter of athletics at U. Maine. Rod will be remembered fondly for his bright smile, generosity, and undeniable charm.
A celebration of life reception will be held on Wednesday, May 24th, at Longfellow's Wayside Inn, 72 Wayside Inn Road in Sudbury, MA, 01776 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Memorial donations may be made to Emerson Hospital, 133 Old Road, to 9 Acre Corner, Concord, MA, 01742.

I met Rod Sparrow and Debbie through my husband's business King, McNamara, and Moriarty many years ago.
Leaktite was my husbands client. Peerless Press Metal was my Father-in -laws. A fabulous family, Tobey he always talked about you and Stacy and I did have the pleasure of meeting you both.
I feel Terrible that I did not know about his passing.
Please accept my sincere condolences.
One of a kind, I used to run into him in Chatham, every once in a while. Thinking of you both and your families.

I met Rod through my work at the UMaine Foundation. He was gracious enough to come to speak at our BECUM event. He was so easy to work with, kind, and compassionate. I feel very honored to have had the opportunity to meet him.
