Hard to believe Roger has been gone 14 yr. Didn't find him till 16 mo before he passed. Was to fly up 6 months before for a week but that was cancelled when my husband broke his ankle. Notified he'd be in hospital over a weekend & got to talk to him for the first. & only, time. Hung up and bawled for 20 min. The chance to talk to Roger so overwhelming. His letters showed what a wonderful person he was but I was greedy & wanted to hug him. I regret circumstances never allowed that.

Roger will always be remembered for his smile. He was a joy to be around and we loved having him as part of our family. I will miss him scratching his lottery tickets and opening his birthday and Christmas presents as this brought him so much joy. Although his early life was difficult, he made up for all the lost years as his life continued in Waltham. My family will miss him dearly but we Thank God for the wonderful years we did have with him.

I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to the Darcy family for the many years of love and care given to my brother Roger. It means more than you will ever know that he received the care I would have wanted for him but was unable to do myself.
