Dear Mrs Blanchard, Jim and Family, I'm very sorry for the loss of Your son,Brother, and Uncle "Ron" Blanchard. Ron was a true "Gentleman" and good friend of Mine. I first met Ron over 20 years ago. When he bought trucks from me. We soon became friends and enjoyed talking about Business & Politics over coffee. For quite some time Ron would drive from Leominster to Clinton Ma. for his "Usual" $2.63 breakfast with bottomless coffee. and on Sunday AM he could be found at the Rietta Ranch (flea mrkt.) searching for a bargain. I recall driving to Liberty with Ron to mow the (hay) front lawn. Then we hit Lake saint george to cool off. I thought that was great ! Ron knew how to have fun without spending a fortune. I met Rons Mom & Dad when they lived on fairmont ave ? in cambridge. Great people! And Brother Jim also a "Gentleman" came to clinton with Ron. I lost contact with Ron when he left Leominster. In 2004 I drove to Liberty and left my card ,then again, I stopped in to say about a year ago.I missed Ron again. I was in Augusta for Thanksgiving last month and I missed him again, but left my home # with a neighbor of Rons. I just wanted to Buy Ron that coffee I felt I owed him.Tuesday I learned about Rons passing. I was sad and all I could think was "Such a great guy" from a wonderful Family. I will Remember Rons dry witt.and Down to earth personality. Ron would help anyone without looking for anything in return. Ron was like a big brother to me. He Loved Trucks ! but he was more concerned about his Family and Friends. That, I will never forget. I will say a prayer for Ron and his Family during this difficult time. Sincerely, Tom Konan sr.
