RONALD BRANDT Obituary

BRANDT, Ronald Lee Ronald, son of Ivan and Gertrude Brandt, and brother to Deborah, passed into eternal life on February 6, 2025. Married to Margaret (Wisniewski) Brandt for 53 years; he was father to four children: Theresa, Jane, David and Mary; and grandfather to six grandchildren: Haley, Matthew, Alex, Sadie, Natalie, and Jordan. Ron spent 10 years with Wisconsin's State Public Defenders Office, expanding it to all 72 counties. He left to help set up Public Defenders offices nationwide for ABT Associates. He transitioned into private practice in Massachusetts, before retiring to St. George, UT, where he and his wife provided care for her sister, who had MS, until her passing. Ron remained a dedicated fan of the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics, watching every game he could. He was an avid water and snow skier, enjoyed golfing in his spare time, and especially loved participating in Wizzy family outings. His family honored his life at the foot of his backyard waterfall, where he enjoyed sitting with his dog, River, watching the hummingbirds and lizards.

I haven´t seen or spoken to Ron in many years but I´m very sorry to learn of his death. In Milwaukee, he mentored me when I was a brand new lawyer and really helped me to understand how to become capable and effective lawyer. I shall always be grateful to him.
Sincere condolences to Ron´s family from my wife, Paula, and me.
