Ronald Logan Obituary

LOGAN, Ronald "Ronnie" Of South Boston, Quincy and Delray Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. Cherished husband and best friend of 58 years to Mary (Lydon) Logan. Son of the late Thomas and Mary (Norton) Logan. Loving father of Ronald Logan and his wife Karen of Quincy, Jeanne "Gigi" Casper and her husband Frank Casper of Quincy, the late Patrick Logan, 1982, Tommy Logan and Kathy Logan Loving and generous Grandfather to his children's sons and daughters and pinnacle status of being a Great Grandfather. Brother of Claire Capeless of South Boston, Janice Kussman of Quincy, Steve "Buddy" Norton of South Boston, Joanne McQueen of Weymouth, Ronald Norton of Whitman and the late Peggy Coughlin and Buddy Logan. Ronnie was a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was extremely generous and gentle person, always willing and ready to help anyone in need. His kindness will be missed. He enjoyed wintering in Florida and traveling with his wife and friends. His passing left an ache in our hearts. Memories of his life will brighten our days to come. We love and miss you. Funeral from The O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester Street, SOUTH BOSTON, Thursday at 9:00am. Funeral Mass in St. Brigid's Church at 10:00am. Relatives and friend invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8pm. Interment Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree. Member of the International Longshoreman's Local # 805, Retired Stevedore. Member of the Knights of Columbus Blessed Mother Council #13338, Delray Beach, FL. Ronnie was very active in South Boston Youth Hockey and Don Bosco High School Board of Director's member. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Salesians of St. John Bosco, c/o Father Pat Angelucci 148 Main St. Box 639, New Rochelle, NY 10802-0639.
