I was so sorry to hear of Ronnie's untimely passing. He was such a great guy. Ronnie always had a smile on his face, an upbeat attitude, and I don't think I ever heard him utter a disparaging word about anyone. He was Kind, generous, witty, intelligent and common sensical. Ron was a fine Father and great role model to Amy and Peter, who both turned out to be fine people, in their own right. He was a loving husband and friend to Kathy for many years. He was also a doting Grandfather to Zoe and Dash. I would have to say, to sum that all up, Ron was a fine man who did everything right and lived a life, Well Lived. I am sure that he is greatly missed and will be for quite some time to come. I have fond memories of growing up in and around a large Italian family who got together every holiday for large, extended familial gatherings which the Malzone Family was right in the thick of. Ron and Kathy carried that tradition on into the future following the passing of many of the previous patriarchs and matriarchs. My family received a gracious invitation annually. My mother and father went every year, with my Mother, Ron's aunt Delma, now deceased, looking forward to it like a child to a visit from Santa Claus. She loved Ronnie, we all did. I sincerely hope he is in a better place, without pain, reunited with old family and friends. My condolences to Kathy, Amy, Peter and his brother Bobby in their time of pain. Be Well and foster the memories, they are precious.

Dear Kathy, Peter, Amy, and Bobby,
Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss Ronnie. I was sad to learn he had passed away.
I grew up on Washaukum Lake on my former family farm on the other side of the Bratica farm. Ron and I often walked home from the bus stop together. He was kind and funny, always a gentleman.
Ronnie was also friendly with my husband Russell who passed away almost 6 years ago. They spend time fishing on the lake with all the other neighborhood buddies. It was all so long ago but the memories are always with us.
Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time.
Love, Kathy Barbieri Tomasetti

Ron could not have been a more unique person. Loving, smart and funny (sometimes cranky). We worked together side by side for 7 years. I remember the day he pulled me aside and asked why he would continue doing "this". It was time to retire. He knew his sickness would catch up to him and he wanted to spend his days with his family enjoying life. He told me stories about his wife (like pulling out marshmallow shooters at a family dinner - it made him laugh even retelling it.. He said she is a wonderful woman and he was blessed she loved him and the kids so much). He beamed when he talked about his children and grandchildren too. He was so proud to be with them. I cried when I read he passed - he will be missed. I called him about a month ago. He picked up his cell, said hello. I asked how he was doing and he said good but he was in an ambulance on his way to the hospital because his blood pressure was low and his doctor was concerned. Imagine picking up a phone call in an ambulance! What a guy! I will miss him but I have so many stories to remember him by. Now someone else will have to be the guardian of the file cabinets with all his uncles and dads papers and now add a cabinet for him. He is a man worthy of remembering. My heart goes out to you all.
