RONALD PUCCI Obituary

Pucci, Ronald Age 77, of Acton, formerly of Dedham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 23, 1946, Ronald was the son of Carl and Mary (Barry) Pucci. Growing up in Brookline, he attended local schools before proudly serving four years in the United States Navy. Upon completing his service, he returned home to dedicate 35 years of his life to the Brookline Fire Department, rising to the esteemed position of Deputy Chief. Ronald took immense pride in his work, earning the honor of firefighter of the year during his career. In 1971, he married the love of his life, Beverly Cochrane, and together they celebrated 52 years of marriage while raising two sons. An avid golfer, Ronald spent countless hours on the golf course, indulging in his passion when not at the fire station. In 1977, he and Beverly purchased a home on Loon Pond, where they created lasting memories during weekends and vacations, before eventually moving to the pond full-time several years ago. They also cherished winters in Florida at their vacation home in Bonita Springs, Florida. Known for his boisterous personality, loud voice and outgoing nature, Ronald had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking around. Never shy about sharing his opinions, he was an outspoken man with a wide circle of friends. His love for dogs was evident, as he had several canine companions over the years, including Kelly, Gino, Smokey and his current dog, Tobey. Ronald will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and his absence will be deeply felt. Ronald was predeceased by his parents; and five siblings, Carl, Jenny, Josephine, Carl and Gerry. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Pucci, of Acton, Maine (formerly of Dedham, Massachusetts); two sons, Ronald C. Pucci and his wife, Shannon of Dedham, MA and Michael R. Pucci of Walpole, MA; two grandchildren, Ronald T. and Jessica J. Pucci, both of Dedham, MA; a sister, Dolores Pucci of Brookline, MA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:30 AM, with Funeral Prayers following at 11:30 AM, on Friday, February 2, at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, SPRINGVALE. Interment with Military Honors will take place at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Stanley Road in Springvale. Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale. To leave a message of condolence for the family, please visit www. blackfuneralhomes.com

The first time I met Ron was a few years ago when he became a member at Dutch Elm Golf Course. It was league night and we were teeing off on #8. We are on the tee and two players are driving to the tee box Ron and Rick with refreshments in hand and a smiles on there faces. I new we were in for a good time. That smile was always on his face. RIP He will surely be missed
