RUSSELL SADLER Obituary

SADLER, Russell Leo Jr. Owner Sadler Financial Group LTD Age 64, died unexpectedly on April 15, 2017 at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. He was the devoted husband of Sheila Lynn (Barber) Sadler of Plymouth (Manomet). Born in Brighton, MA on December 15, 1952, he was the son of Eleanor C. (Hanley) Sadler and the late Russell Leo Sadler, Sr. He was a graduate of Watertown High School, Class of 1971 as well as Bentley College, Class of 1979. Russell was owner of Sadler Financial Group, LTD in Plymouth, where his indefatigable work ethic was the key to his success. He served his country in the US Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel with the 85th and 42nd Aerial Port Squadrons until being honorably discharged on January 20, 2007. Russ was Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Plymouth, a member of the Old Colony Club, and was a longtime volunteer for the BSA Troop # 51. Russell also served on the Board of Directors for the Plymouth Area Coalition for the Homeless. He enjoyed sailing, golfing, traveling, and working in his organic garden. He held a strong devotion to his family and community alike. Russ will be missed by the many lives he touched. Besides leaving his wife Sheila, and mother Eleanor both of Plymouth, Russell was the loving father of Brett Joshua Sadler of Charlestown, Russell Todd Sadler and his wife Sarah of Plymouth, and Ashley Alexandra Sadler of Marion, MA. He was the brother of Sue Ellen Luce of Boston, Sally Ann Riley of Houston, TX, and Mary Jane Sadler of Watertown. Also survived by his grandchildren Russell Clifford Sadler and Grayson Bradford Eames. Visitation will take place in the Davis Funeral & Cremation Home, 373 Court St., Plymouth on Thursday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Assn: www.heart.org. As a former member of the Manomet-Cedarville Kiwanis, my club members and I shared many meetings and community events with Russ when he belonged to the Kiwanis Club of Plymouth.
