RUTH E. PAYSON

PAYSON, Ruth E. "Ruthie" (Hickey) Died age 92, on August 13, at the Marion Manor in South Boston. She is survived by her children, Caroline, Cathleen (boyfriend, Bob Yanovitch), and Bert; sisters-in-law, many beloved nieces and nephews, and dear friends, Margaret Hurley and Lys Canton Lamousse. Predeceased by her husband, Bertrand A.Payson, and nine siblings. Ruthie attended Horace Mann School for the Deaf and she and her husband were active members of the Boston Deaf Club. Ruthie loved holidays, word puzzles, and knitting but was most passionate about her family and friends. Visitation in the O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester Street, SOUTH BOSTON, on Tuesday, August 16, from 4-7pm. Funeral Mass in St Brigid Church, 841 East Broadway, South Boston, on Wednesday, August 17, at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment private. To celebrate Ruthie's spirit, mourners are welcome to wear holiday sweaters or red, her favorite color. Those wishing to honor her life can make a donation to Horace Mann School for
