Ruth is a magnificent lighthouse to us all. She walked into the room, when we first met at my first day in our poetry writing group & said "I want to be friends with YOU! We'll have so much fun!" She was 95 & having the time of her life & wanted more. Because Covid came & limited our moments together I only have a handful of shared experiences, not a lifetime..her spirit is still within us all. Ruth is evergreen, ever effervescent, ever luminous & we shall never forget her. As we recall her light, let us all be kind, reach out & smile & take in every cherished moment & person on Earth

A magical, light filled force of nature, was our beloved Ruth!I did not have many years of time to know her, but each moment, every word, was filled with the joy of life. She always wanted to go, go, go...participate in life. She was the crown jewel of our poetry group. Every poem Ruth wrote was a miracle of words & emotions. She was kind, caring truly beloved by all & her smile & laughter were contagious. I shall always miss you, Ruth!

I will miss my aunt and friend with whom I've shared a birthday all these years. Rest comfortable and give Uncle Maury a big hug from me. Sheila Prolman

Dear Lois, Beth and family
Such a delight, a gentle lady, kind, non-judgmental, with a sense of humor that was as wide as the sky and an ability to make a friend of just about everyone she met.
The strength of spirit and independence in her advancing years amazed me.
She also had such generosity in the sharing of her view of the world, especially through poetry. Words of great depth and joy came from wise observation. Ruth offered insight only when requested and her understanding of the human condition drew people in ... her empathy was instinctively felt by others as they sought her counsel.
My feelings now -- emptiness, sadness but also, ever thankful that I was privileged to have Ruth in my life, but for too brief a span of time!
The most important people in her world were all of you, her family -- be proud of a life, well lived! Thanks so much for sharing . . .
Shalom,
Karen M. Kline
