Dear Warriner sisters,
I missed seeing your Mom the last few weeks. No one seemed to know where she was, and the Privacy Laws prevent the staff from telling us much. Never-the- less, I was shocked and saddened when I saw the rose. It had been obvious that Ruth's condition was deteriorating and that was sad to watch.
She and I had dinner together from time to time. The last time we "ate" in the Cafe she ate very little, but we did enjoy sharing a vanilla frappe!!
I'll miss her, as I missed your Dad when I gathered my green tomatoes recently.
Please accept my deepest sympathies. I'll make every effort to go to her service, although all my family will be here for the holiday.
Fondly, Esther
