I met Sam at Serenity and he touched my soul from go. He was the kindest, warmest, most thoughtful, intelligent soul and truly unlike anyone I've ever known. We fast became friends and I'm so glad i gave you that long second hug before we said goodbye on July 12th, Sam.
I may have only known him a short while, but he had a profound impact on me, and I vow to live and be my best self for him and for me. The world needs more Sams'.
I love you my friend and I wish you peace, love, and harmony wherever you may be. xo Jayme

To Sam’s family, my deepest condolences on your loss. Sam was a wonderful man, with a curious intellect and true passion for life.
We became friends at U of T, spending many hours together, some of it studying, but most of it just spent living.
Rugby & sports, philosophy, kung fu, yoga, making music. He was like this modern renaissance man, with a unique set of passions, bringing together east and west.
We both loved meeting new people, but Sam was on a different level. He had this way of moving through the world like I had never seen in anyone else before.
He did things his own way, and had this boundless confidence to him. With his charisma, he could quite literally strike up a conversation with anyone on the street, from all walks of life. He cared about humanity and the human condition, and wanted to explore the stories of everyone he could meet. His character, was and still is inspiring to me.
May you rest in peace my friend. Your spirit will live on forever in those who love you.

I knew Sam during our time at University of Toronto (he was my partner's friend as well as roommate for several years). Sam was such a bright light, full of energy, curiosity, and passion for life. One of my favourite memories of Sam is when we went out with a group to eat at a Szechuan restaurant in Chinatown; he ordered our entire meal in Chinese, much to the amusement of our server! Sam's warmth and openness brought people together and made you feel as if you had been his friend for years. I also cherish the memory of late night chats about life, metaphysics, and our place in the universe. To his family, I extend my deepest condolences for you loss. I wish you peace, comfort, and strength.

Sam touched so many lives including those of the entire Bourque family. We have so many memories, meeting Sam in Toronto bar hoping, being silly, singing while we walk, sharing stories, and meeting all his amazing friends. Gathering at the Bourque family for silly games and great food, family time with the Marshman family and even extending that family to some of Sam's friends. We will always remember the great times with such an amazing soul. May you rest in peace Sam

I left your damp towel on the porch like normal to dry after sailing when you would stop by. Miss you bunches. Hugs and kisses. Love to Mom and Dad and your brothers. Dianne and Fred and the kids.

Sam Mosca was an incredible person. We lived together while studying abroad in China. He was an amazing room mate. His personality made him magnetic and he seemed to have a limitless capacity for friendship and kindness.
He was one of my core song writing partners there, always ready to join in the jam and sing or rap along (mostly off key, but that didn´t matter for our goals). I will share whatever recordings I have of our jams. They won´t be Grammy-worthy but to me they´re invaluable.
He was one of a kind and I am so torn by your loss. The world lost a bright, bright fire, and it feels a little darker. But he lit a flame in my soul and the souls of others. And I will live my life in a way that shines his light as brightly as I can.
Sam, I love you, I miss you, and will always carry you in my (winky) heart.

To the family of Sam,
Am very sorry to hear of this loss. I was lucky to cross paths with Sam when studying in Hangzhou China in 2014, together with a few other students we organised the "Passion Bridge" in an attempt to get students from all backgrounds to bond by showcasing different talents. I have not seen Sam since that year but my memory of him is someone full of passion, enthusiasm and zest for life.
