While several years have passed, I came across the following today and wanted to share it with the surviving Natansohn family. My own father died last week, and among his possessions is a booklet that was printed for a Shalom Dinner-Testimonial at the Farmingdale Jewish Center in 1972. My family lives in East Bridgewater, Mass. My dad had been taking the Census (he was a guidance counselor in Canton, Mass, and he probably canvassed for the Census as a second job). He met Mr. Natansohn, who shared his story. Today, in our own grief, my family read this history of the unimaginable. What an extraordinary person Mr. Natansohn was. I hope his legacy continues to provide inspiration and courage to you all.

I was saddened to hear of your loss. Please know how sorry I am. I met Sam when GTE Labs moved to Waltham and I started working in the Patent Department. Over they years I had many occasions to talk to Sam and always found those conversations to be very pleasant. I will keep those memories of your father and always remember him as a kind and intelligent man.

My condolences to the Natansohn family. Sam always had a kind word, always a smile and always a gentleman.
