Dear Mr. & Mrs. Factor,

I just learned on Monday of Scott's passing. When I got married and moved to Canton, Scott was my neighbor directly below me in Canton Village. He was the first person I befriended in town and we stayed friends for many years until he moved to the North Shore when we fell out of touch after a while. I always greatly admired Scott for the way he lived his life and for how active he was in different sports. Mine and my families thoughts and prayers go out to you.

I just found out today about Scottie's passing. I haven't seen him in a few years, but while I was living in North Conway and working at Attitash I was fortunate enough to get to know him and shared many a beer with him at Nicky I's after work on Saturdays. He will most surely be missed by all. I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to know him and spend time with him. My condolences to the family.

I just found out the news this morning and I'm deeply hurt by this news. Had I known, I would have attended the servies. Scott and I used to work together and kept in touch after he moved on to another company. We would on occasion meet for lunch and talk about everything from work to music to skiing. I thought about Scott two weeks ago and was planning to give him a call soon (it had been a while). He was a great guy and an inpiration to me in many ways. My condolences.

Factor Family

I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Scott. Thinking back on our AVODA years, Scott was a leader who helped us make our jewishness part of our everyday lives. Scott will be with you always and your wonderful memories will never be lost.

Dear Rhoda & Eli...We just heard about Scott's passing tonight and we were shocked. After reading all of the above messages from his friends and co-workers, you have to be so proud of what he has accomplished with his "never give up"
attitude. We remembered how Eli delved into figuring out how he could make some sort of appliance in the early days of Scott's injury so that he and Scott could ski together. We were so impressed with how you both dealt with all the heartache in those early days, but picked yourselves up and went on to make his life better. We are so, very
sorry and send our love to you both and to Mark and Heidi.

Rhoda, Eli, Mark, Heidi, and family,

I am saddened to hear of Scott's passing. As I read other notes of sympathy left in this guest book, it appears Scott lead a rich and fulfilling adult life. It seems as though he touched so many deeply -all with lasting effect. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I think warmly of the days when both Scott and Mark were "in my charge." I am sure you are surrounded by as much love(and more) at this time of loss and rememberance as you often provided the same to me and my family.

May 19, 2008

Dear Rhoda, Eli, Mark & Heidi,

My heartfelt condolences go out to all of you. Scott was my "neighbor" when I lived in the Canton Village Condos about 10 years ago. I remember him making me feel welcome, lending a helping hand when needed ( and his help was needed a few times), and having such positive energy that you couldn't help but to smile.

May he rest in peace (with a smile),

We are so saddened in the loss of a great person. Scott was such an inspiration to all the kids and adults in Linderhof. He taught us all to never say ,I can't.

To the family and friends of Scott,

Scott was a distinguished industry colleague who I first met about 20 years ago in West Bridgewater, MA. We have remained close personal friends over this period of time and he saw my daughters mature into young adults.

Scott showed us a couple of gifts about life that we should all work hard to pass along to our children and to each other. Enthusiasm and interests are the gifts that come to mind. Scott had at least twice the amount of enthusiasm of most of us. He put double the amount of enthusiasm into his work and into his life. When it came to interests, he was unbelievable. My family knew him as a passionate skier. I can honestly say, that of all the friends we have invited to stay in our home near Killington, Scott Factor, would be the one who would come up just about every year to ski with us. He wanted his independence, therefore, he would get a place on his own and ask us to meet him in the parking as the lifts would begin to turn. Scott could tear up a mountain. People would turn their heads to watch him arc his turns down some of the steepest terrain in Vermont. In the lodge people would come over and introduce themselves to Scott and say they saw him coming down such and such run.

We can’t say enough about Scott and we are really saddened to hear about this loss.

Wayne, Karen, Dorrie & Bridgit Douglas

PS: I’m also going to miss the Married with Children, Cheers and Seinfeld episodes that Scott could repeat as if he was part of the show. He could find a way to put a smile on your face and to crack you up.

Eli, Rhoda, Mark and Heidi... My thoughts and prayers are with you all. It seems like yesterday 'Scottie', Mark, Mike, and I were all in the backyard running around or on Thorny Lee looking for lost golf balls. I remember all the fun we had. I was so sad to hear about Scott...he will be missed and always remembered in my heart. With love,

To the Entire Factor Family,
Words can't even begin to tell you how sorry I am with the passing of Scott. I have great memories of playing in the backyard with Scott & Mark. It just seems like yesterday, that Scott, Lawrence & I got together to have a drink or 2 or 3, I really don't remember. I DO REMEMBER that the smiles and the laughs only ended that night when we went our seperate ways. We all are better people for knowing Scott. He is GREATLY MISSED ALREADY!!!
My deepest sympathy.
