SCOTT GLINOS Obituary

GLINOS, Scott Paul Age 58, of Andover, passed Friday, May 20, 2022, at Lawrence General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lowell, MA, April 26, 1964 to L. James and Helen (Glennie) Glinos. Scott graduated from Boston University in 1986 with a Bachelor's of Arts in English. After college, he spent time in Florida and Maine working in the fishing industry. In 1991, he met his loving wife Marcy in a canoe race on the Charles River. Scott and Marcy were married for 28 years and together have two wonderful children, Diana and Russell. Scott worked at North Coast Seafoods in Boston for over 20 years, serving as the Director of Quality Assurance, a position he loved. Scott had a lifelong passion for fishing and the outdoors, spending much of his free time outside with his family. His favorites included jigging for cod and haddock (and even a Halibut!) off of Cape Cod and Salem, lobstering, clamming, tuna fishing, fishing for native brook trout, birding, and gardening. He had a passion for cooking and loved preparing meals for others to enjoy. He loved music and sang for many years with his church choir and The Choral Majority. He had an eye for antiques and served as the family historian for much of his adult life. Scott had a smile and laugh that would light up the room and a sense of humor like no other. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Scott is survived by his loving wife Marcia (Marcy) Glinos (Andover, MA); daughter Diana Glinos (Boston, MA); son Russell Glinos (West Dennis, MA); father Jim (Chelmsford, MA); brother Steve Glinos (Grantham, NH); sister Janet Deteran (Boyce, VA); lifelong friend Roger Johnson and his wife Susan (Hudson, NH); and many extended family members. Scott was sadly predeceased by his mother Helen Glinos. Family and friends are invited to Calling Hours on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence Street, ANDOVER, MA. A Funeral Service will be offered on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Free Christian Church, 31 Elm Street, Andover, MA. For online condolences, please visit (www.contefuneralhomes.com). Marcy, Diana and Russell,

We are so very sorry to hear of Scott´s passing. We have fond memories of his generosity with lobsters and his "catch of the day" and of the excitement when the babies arrived when we lived at 19 Sutherland. We are thinking of you. Carol and Tim
