Seigo Matsuda Obituary

MATSUDA, Seigo Of Wayland, died unexpectedly on September 17, 2008. Beloved husband of Kumiko (Kosuge) Matsuda of Wayland. Loving father of Yoko Yamazaki and her husband Koichi of Tokyo, Japan. Devoted grandfather of Marie Yamazaki of Tokyo, Japan. Visitation on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008 from 10:30 AM until 1:30 PM. Funeral Service to begin at 1:30 PM in the Bryant Memorial Chapel of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd., (Off Route 30), WAYLAND. Cremation Services to follow and will be private for family only. Mr. Matsuda received his Master's Degree in Engineering from Tohoku University in Tokyo, Japan and his Ph.D in Material Science from MIT. He had a long and distinguished career as a scientist in the Boston and Cambridge area and as a private consultant. He was a patron of the arts, particularly of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He was an avid sports fan of the New England Patriots, Boston the Red Sox and the Boston Celtics. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial gifts in his memory be sent to the MSPCA-Angell, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
