I just read about Sharon's passing in the WM Magazine. I am so sorry. Sharon and I spent many a road trip to and from MA to VA. I grew up in Franklin. We enjoyed spending time together at many WM Homecomings. We shared many a Cheese Shop Sandwich. Had I decided to pledge Phi Mu, Sharon would have been my big sister. Even though I chose not to do the sorority thing, Sharon became my "big sister" anyway. As a school counselor I often talk about Sharon's successes with my science oriented middle schoolers about women in chemistry. Sharon was a wonderful friend and support through college and beyond. I am so, so sorry. Love, Christy Parsons

Dear Fitzhenrys,
I just returned home tonight and heard about Sharon. I'm shocked and so very sorry to hear such sad news. After crossing paths through Maine so often I just assumed we'd cross again later on. My heart goes out to each of you.

I am so shocked and saddened by this news... As Sharon's cousin I remember growing up together playing in the yard in Foxboro and Christmases with Grandma and the family... Look forward to catching up with everyone at the memorial... My thoughts are with you Jack and Maureen and the rest of the family!
