LYNCH, Sheila A. Of South Boston, suddenly, at home on November 27, 2024. Beloved partner of more than 30 years to the late Kevin Ronan of South Boston. Devoted daughter of the late Anne and Francis Lynch. Dear sister of Karen O'Leary and her husband, Joseph, Congressman Stephen Lynch and his wife, Margaret, Nancy Conroy and her husband, Kevin, Donna Bohan and her husband, Michael, all of South Boston and the late Jeanne "Lynda" Lynch. Beloved aunt of Krysten Wallace, Nichole Mikshenas, Casey O'Leary, Mark O'Leary, Thomas Bohan and Victoria Lynch. Honorary aunt to Crystal Shaughnessy and Nolan Upton. She is survived by her many loving cousins and friends. Sheila was a proud lifelong resident of South Boston. She was one of the main organizers of the "Great Southie Reunion" and delighted in anything related to the history of the community. She was a lover of the sea, an avid beach bum and a longtime member of the Columbia Yacht Club. If she loved anything more than a beach chair in the sand, it was probably a seat at Fenway Park rooting on her favorite Boston Red Sox. Sheila will forever be known as the fun aunt who gave her nieces and nephews everything their mothers didn't want them to have. She was the one who would always slip a few bucks into your pocket to be sure you had some fun money. She had a generous and loyal heart. Visiting Hours in the O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester St., SOUTH BOSTON, Tuesday, from 4 to 8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Gate of Heaven Church, 615 East Fourth St., South Boston, Wednesday, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be private.
