To the Malone Family - I knew Shirley for the better part of 30 years. Just so happens that her nephew Joe was married to a coworker here at Tufts (Jess). after she found that out there was no peace for me. Shirley, never one not to speak up would, see me in the hall or on the street and yell at me for not doing any work and making poor Jess do it all. It was worse if I was getting treated for one of the various injuries I had over the years. God forbid that I was stuck on a table because she would get right up in my face and start on me, much to the surprise of the other patients (until they got to know her as well). I missed her from the day she retired and was lucky enough to have a chance to speak with her just a couple of months ago. She had not lost it, that's for sure. Had a great conversation talking about the old days. So sorry to hear of her passing. My sympathies to all of you. They broke the mold when they made her. God Bless.

Shirley was a great lady. We were neighbors for years and I loved it when we saw each other. Always something positive to say. She will be missed by all.
