Shirley Marks Obituary

MARKS, Shirley Coffin Of Naples, Florida, suddenly November 10, 2008, Mrs. Shirley Coffin, Marks. She is the daughter of the late Bruce A. Coffin and Barbara Sinclair Coffin and sister of the Barbara Coffin Hobson. Of the things that mattered most to Shirley was her family. Shirley met her husband James with whom she shared 45 years of marriage based on the words of the poet," the best was always yet to be". She is survived by three children, Deborah Elizabeth Thompson and husband, David E. Thompson of Hamilton, Massachusetts, David Marks and wife, Audie of Coral Springs, Florida and Kimberly Ann Marks of Marblehead, Massachusetts. She will be sorely missed by her beloved six grandchildren, David, Bruce and Madeleine Marks of Coral Gables, Florida and Andrew, Colby and Tyler Bates of Marblehead, Massachusetts. Services will be held at the Old North Church in Marblehead on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Penny Bear Foundation, 26 Elmwood Road, Marblehead, MA 01945 or the charity of your choice. We will hold fast to the happy moments that we all shared at Kate's wedding in Manhattan.
