DEAR CATHY, HERE I WAS LEAVING MESSAGES FOR YOU AND STANLEY ABOUT BOB HAVING PASSED AWAY ON MARCH 21ST BUT ONLY HAD OLD NUMBERS. FINALLY REALIZED THAT WE WERE ALL MUCH OLDER NOW AND THAT BOB'S BEST FRIENDS WERE AS WELL. STAN AND BOB HAD A GREAT FREINDSHIP & ALL OF US SITTING AT DUPARS IN L.A. I am very sorry about Stanley's passing. It was my pleasure to have worked with Stanley for many years at Biltrite. Stanley was a caring and strong leader who inspired what are today considered old-fashioned values of honesty, hard-work, dedication and loyalty. My sincere wishes of sympathy are with Stanley's family.

Words are insufficient to describe your and many others' loss. Stanley was an exceptional person. It was my privilege to know and work with him for over 20 years. There are many in Mississippi, Massachusetts and elsewhere who are thankful for his business leadership, but even more thankful to have known Stanley.

Most of us in the Roxbury Latin class of 1961 saw Stanley only on occasion, but each occasion was memorable. He was kind and cheerful and smart. I am very surprised and sorry to hear of his death, and to know that there will be no more meetings with him at the school he loved and championed.

Serving with Stan at the American Diabetes Association was inspirational. His quiet smile welcomed me and encouraged me to work hard and be confident that I too can contribute. He was a leader to follow.

We are so sorry to learn of Stan's passing. His love and pride in his family was always evident when we talked. The love, support, compassion and friendship between Stan and Cathy is remarkable.
