I am so sorry to discover today that Dr. Bochnak has passed. He was my Eye Doctor for many years.
I had greatly appreciated him as a person, above and beyond the top class services he always provided. I found his passion for the subject matter of his profession very engaging. My heart goes out to his family.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear this news. I have been a patient at Kenmore optical for 20 years, even before Dr Bochnak took over the practice and I always enjoyed my visits with him. I am so saddened to think that my visit last year was the last time I will see or speak with him again. My very great sympathy to his family amd his friends. What a terrible loss.

As a long-time patient of Dr. Bochnak, I am terribly saddened to learn of his death. He was a terrific optometrist and really an educator as well -- he took the time to explain the workings of the eye and to suggest preventative measures. What a wonderful, kind person we have lost. My sincere condolences to the Bochnak family.

Dr. Bochnak was my optometrist for 15 years. I became his patient just as he became the new owner of Kenmore Optical. He saw me through my dental school years and beyond. Even after I moved to California, I still returned to New England for business and family and made sure to carve out time to schedule my eye exams with him. We had great conversations about being providers and practice owners and I truly enjoyed my visits with him. We used to joke that we were both "Dr. B". I was shocked and so sad to hear of his passing and convey my deepest condolences to his family.

Steve was our intern at Harvard while a student at UMASS almost 30 years ago. To this day I remember his infectious laugh and sly sense of humor. He loved his family so much and was so proud of them. He was such a hard worker and always had a solution to any problem. I pray that you will find comfort going forward - holding him closely in your hearts till you see him again in Heaven.

My sincere condolences to the Bochnak family. I was a NECO classmate and friend of Steve’s. We often sat together at continuing education conferences and talked shop during lunch. Being a fellow business owner we would give each other advice on running our practices. I was proud of him that he could operate so successfully in Boston. I enjoyed his wit and his laugh was infectious. He was also a great football player when we got together for games after class. I will miss him terribly. Sincerely , Joe Russo

Dear Bochnak family,
Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Steve and I went to Optometry school together. I will always remember Steve as a very nice, happy person to work with in school. He had a great dry sense of humor, and we shared a lot of laughs together in our Optometry labs. I remember Steve always aspired to have his own private practice. Good for him for accomplishing his goal.
May your memories be a blessing.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Prophet Harms OD
