STEPHEN MEMISHIAN Obituary

MEMISHIAN, Stephen George 90, of Mashpee, formerly of Natick, died peacefully at the Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester on June 29, 2012. He was the beloved husband of the late Victoria (Razon) Memishian. Born in 1921 to Armenian immigrants from Istanbul, Stephen served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and participated in competitive boxing during his youth. He attended art school and had a long and successful career in insurance. Stephen was an active community member of the town of Natick for many years, and moved to Mashpee in 2003. As a retiree, he served as a boxing judge and as Deputy Boxing Commissioner, and became an active participant in Boston's Ring 4 Veteran Boxers Association and later the founding President of Cape Cod's Ring 7. Stephen was a painter, golfer, card-player, and a funny and active man. He was a loving father, grandfather, and caring friend and will be dearly missed by all who loved him. Stephen is survived by his loving children, Joyce Nardine and her spouse Richard Nardine of Medway and Barry Memishian and his spouse Elizabeth Memishian of Medway, his 3 beloved grandchildren, Wendy, Eric and Joshua, and many beloved extended family members and friends. Visiting hours will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. MASHPEE, on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11:30am. A private burial will be at the National Cemetery in Bourne.
