WOODWARD, Stephen A. "Woody" Of Chelsea, MA, born September 11, 1955, died from an accidental fall on May 1, 2011. He was the beloved companion of the late Regina "Gina" Boyland and was the brother to Ellen W. Reinhard of Raleigh, NC, Tom A. Woodward of Norfolk, MA, and Laura W. Cavers of Darien, CT. His parents were the late Louis "Ted" and Ann D. Woodward of Wellesley. He is survived my numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews in the New England area, North Carolina, Seattle, WA, and Alaska. A graduate from Hamilton College, Steve worked in a number of law and financial institutions. His most recent employment was as a tax preparer at H & R Block in Central Square, Cambridge, MA. An avid reader, Steve had a large collection of books pertaining to many varied subjects especially historical records, charts and tradesmen manuals. He amazed his friends and family members with his breadth of knowledge and passion of interest. A stalwart believer of historical preservation, Steve's greatest past time was restoring and sailing his 41 foot wooden yacht "Heart's Desire" in and around the Boston Harbor and it's islands. A memorial service will be planned and announced to family and close friends at a future date. In lieu of flowers please send contributions, in memory, to the Greater Boston Food Bank, 99 Atkinson Street,Boston, MA 02118, www.gbf.org.
